Well this is easy enough to fix. A Buddie of mine did the same thing and had his towed to a dealership. The cost was just over $500.00. Now you can fix this problem and only be out the price of the fuel and new filters. First get yourself enough gas cans to hold all of the fuel in the tank. Siphon all of the fuel possible from the tank, remove and replace the filters. Gas has a lower combustion temperature and thus it will fire in a diesel engine before the piston can reach the top. Diesel fires after top dead center. The heat for combustion is created as the air is compressed into the combustion chamber. Diesel also has a lubricating advantage for the top end of the engine. After all of the filters are changed, fill the tank with the proper fuel prime or bleed the air from the fuel system thus forcing the gas out of the lines. problem should be solved. Since all of the gas will not be out of the tank I would fill back up with diesel after burning a half tank out, further diluting the remaining gas. You could remove the fuel tank and drain all of the fuel that way. I am not familiar with the tank construction on this model. Does the tank have a drain on the bottom, if so this just simplifies the process. I have seen this before and you should not have done any damage to the engine. Good luck.

You absolutely cannot run a petrol engined car on vegetable oil. The compression involved would destroy the engine, not to mention the fact that the fuel injectors would block up pretty quickly. A diesel engined car would run on it, with an appropriate additive added to the fuel. It is legal to run your car on vegetable oil, but legally you must declare your fuel quantity usage to the tax man, and pay the extra tax, as the vegetable oil becomes a fuel instead of a cooking aid and is therefore subject to a different taxation class. It is still much cheaper than buying diesel, though.

no petrol engines will only run on petrol or lpg, u need a diesel engine to use bio diesel (veg oil) its not illegal to use like red diesel but it is illegal not to pay fuel duty which realistically makes it illegal

A petrol engine wont run on oil its a diesel you need.

In summer you could run the oil straight from the tank into the diesel engine but in winter it needs to be preheated.

Its entirely legal but you need to declare duty to the inland revenue.

No it can't work - it can in a diesel car though, although you need to buy an additive to the oil first. I forget what's called but google it.

As for legislation - you are required by law to declare how much you are using and pay duty on it (around 5p/litre) but they depend on you telling them about it so it's up to you how honest you want to be!!

Yes it is possible if you convert the engine with a kit and you strain all the crummy stuff out of the used veggie oil first.
