I ask myself the same question every time I see more lives lost and more money wasted. My Great Great Great Grandchildren are going to pay for the politicians follies. When the politicians run for office they say one thing and when they get in office they forget who put them there.Sure you can vote them out but a lot of harm can be done in a few years just look at the mess Bush got us into now.The silent majority has to speak out loud and clear for changes on how this country is run.

Never mind Iraq and Afghanistan, what about all the money we give every other country in the world. We really need to stop financing every country. Do you know that their are countries that we give hundreds of millions of dollars and they vote against us at the UN over 70 % of the time!!!!! Lets save the aid for our "allies".
Here's my plan: Build a huge, electrified fence around the country, and take care of our own people!!!

Your an idiot, what kind of grades did you get in school, especially in history or government? You can't blame our government for problems that we have in our own country. Granted there is allot of underhanded crap that goes on in Washington, but the American people drive that bus. When we demand to have the next latest and greatest of everything, we disregard reform at any measure ie recycling. If more people just quit blaming everything on the Politicians and they took an interest in their own communities, helped their neighbors, bring back what I like to call Southern Courteousy, things will change. We need to quit asking the MAN to help us, we need to help ourselves, our neighbors and our community. As far as tax dollars, the vast majority of our taxes actually cover the cost of education, welfare, public transportation. Quit feeding into the media hype on how we spend our money. Also every world conflict we have been involved in is a direct result of some other poorly ran organization, ie United Nations. Not to mention, as the largest free nation in the world we are expected to defend everybody, protect commerce. I can go on and on, but I think I met my point.

Because these men in the White House mean us harm, care not for your issues - remember Katrina?, and the money goes to their friends in the war making business who make over $10 billion per week off your tax dollars. There's little profit in helping you, but enormous profits in war. The latest story was the $12 billion in 100.00 bills shrink wrapped for easy transport! That just disappeared like the over $1 billion Halliburton "lost" somehow. How does a billion dollars disappear? Just give it to Bush/Cheney!

they have an agenda to take over the whole world don't you know? the politicians give lip service to WE THE PEOPLE.
they could care less as long as they are making money. and somehow we keep putting people in the system that has been broken for 100 years.
The system doesn't serve us. government serves itself. and we have been fooled into believing it is our best interest to keep the corrupt government.

How much did you pay in taxes last year? And funny but we were minding our domestic issues when some lunatics hijaked our planes an killed thousands of innocent Americans. And how do you know your tax dollars are being sent over there, how do you know that your tax dollars weren't spent fixing a road or fighting the war on poverty?

The answer to this is repuglicans, they are never very strong on domestic issues, they are to busy lining their own pockets and worring about getting reelected to worry about how people are hurting. Democrats are not much better but they are a better choice and I think they are more in tune with working people.

I guess we could disband the military and put all US citizens on the government dole. And then, when we need to fight a war, what do we do? Obviously, you do not think we need to be fighting this war. This is your back-handed way of saying so, and it seems very narrow-minded to me.
