Are today's teenagers too stupid to figure out what causes pregnancy? What is with the hundreds of teenagers expecting US to know if they've gone and knocked themselves up???

believe me it's not just teeny boppers, there are grown women on here asking,
'Am I pregnant'?
'If I had sex this day and my period was this day, am I pregnant?'
How are any of us supposed to know if these idiots are pregnant? For the sake of the potential children I hope not, after all they don't appear to have too many braincells to share with the poor little blighters once they're made.

I think that, especially in the US, people are so paranoid about sex that parents dont talk to their kids about it.
They only say "You cannot have sex", and that is it. They dont explain about safe sex, about birth control, about condoms, and other matters that are very important in life! You know that the chances are very large that teenages will experiment with sex. Hey, you cant blame them for something natural, with all hormones raging through their bodies.
Kids are maybe aware of the consequences, but they dont realise it as they are being provided with wrong info. "You cant fall pregnant during your first time". "Condoms dont prevent pregnancy." "You cant get pregnant if he withdraws before having an orgasm." It is scary how many kids believe n things that are completely incorrect.
Schools should have good sexual education as a priority, and should do a hreat effort in making kids aware of everything that is related to sex. Because if there is one thing you can be sure of: everybody will have sex one day and in this day and age you should be aware of the consequences.
Of course, teens ( and everyone else) also have a responsibility: If you dont know what the consequences are and have no clue about the ins and outs about getting pregnant: dont have sex, and get educated first!

Teenagers are so badly informed (even if they go to school) about pretty much everything, included sex and pregnancy. They probably think just looking at a bloke can get them knocked up.
Of course, drinking to much and passing out in a park, not knowing whats happening, probably results in them actually being pregnant.

Most people don't put their age on their questions, so how do you know they are teenagers?
Half the time if you read the answers, someone asks if they are pregnant (which is an annoying question) and half the answers say 'congrats' and half the answers say 'go and tell your mum' so clearly people make lots of assumptions about the situation of the asker, which may or may not be correct.

I feel the same, don´t they get sex education anymore. And why not use protection it is really ridiculous.... I really don´t feel sorry for them at all.... They know that if they have sex there is the risk to get pregnant, and if they are too stupid enough not to use protection they need to deal with the consequences...

Frightening lack of education! Adults should get over their embarrasment and distaste and educate their children at an age before they have started puberty. I see no reason to hide the facts from a child of any age.

So glad I am not the only one who thinks so!!! Think most are just out for the attention. I find it hard to believe that in todays world they don't know or can't find a better site to help them than here.

Lack of decent sex education by both parents and teachers.
Peer pressure is also a huge problem.
