Ok as long as your baby girl is happy this way, I say keep her wrapped up. Swaddling is not a cause of SIDS , trust me as I lost a baby to SIDS. Once she starts moving around her crib etc, she may give this up anyways. Especially once she starts standing. My little girl is 10 months old now and she is crawling, standing and cruising around her crib , so it could be just a matter of months before she is ready to give it up due to the fact that she will realize that if she is wrapped up she cant move around and play. I think you are doing a fine job as we need to make our kids feel secure and that is what you are doing for her.

As long as wrapping her works in helping her settle then keep using it. Some babies like it until 1-1 1/2 years old in some form or another. I say whatever works is good. It will work itself out.

Your baby will let you know when she's had enough. I swaddled my son until he was about 4 months. One night he just started screaming and kicking when I was trying to swaddle him, so I didn't. It took a couple of nights for him to get used to it, but I just stayed consistent and quickly he learned to sleep without it. Always do what make a young infant comfortable and happy!

My mom swaddled me forever (from what i am told) and even now, if i feel crappy or am trying to go to sleep i have to have a heavy blanket on in order to feel comfortable... and I'm 20 with a daughter of my own now. Just do what you feel is right, and let your daughter tell you when it is no longer necessary

if she is happy being wrapped then whats the harm?? it makes them feel safe and secure... maybe when you transfer from cot to bed you will need to gradually change this by making sure she is tucked in really well using sheets and blankets rather than a quilt as it is easier to tuck blankets tighter...
dont worry..... sounds like you are doing a grand job xx

Studies show that swaddling can be comforting to children. It reminds them of their environment while in the womb.
She will let you know when she outgrows swaddling.
If you wish to wean her, gradually loosen your swaddling each time you do it.
