Well being as wolves howl then my advice would be NOT to get a wolf...thats like saying you want to get a cat but meowing annoys you....its stupid. Wolves do what they do and if you can thandle what they do then you should leave them alone. Also Im pretty sure that is is illegal to own a pure wolf as a pet w/out having a special liscense to own exotic animals & you have to be able to offer proof that you are equiped to handle, care for & be a responsbile care keeper of a wild animal. There is A LOT to owing exotics, wolves are not just a different type of dometic dog they are WILD animals & should stay that way

Wolves are wild animals, and howling will be the least of your problems. They are never reliably tamed and should never be left with people who are untrained in caring for them. Children, of course, should never be with them at all. Kid behavior is prey behavior to wolves and dogs too, but dogs are tame. Buying one isn't easy either and from what I remember is usually done very carefully from the standpoint of the seller as they don't want to be held responsible for the damage that might be done. People have had better luck with hybrid wolf-dogs than with full blooded wolves. Do lot more research and know what you are letting yourself in for.
There is no such thing as a 'pet' wolf.

By cunning use of artificial light, you can fool the Wolf into thinking Night is Day, therefore he would howl in the daytime and give you a good nights sleep!

If you fear that, then you might as well buy a different pet or you can try to buy that thing that shuts the mouth to keep him quiet
