I have HP deskjet 300 all in one printer recently bought. I just want to know how much the black cartridges run means normally how much pages it should print ? because my cartridges are very oftenly getting empty as my printing job is not much and i am printing the economical and draft quality always but the cartridge is not even printing 60 pages. and getting empty. Please guide me regarding the refiiling also.

First u make sure the cartridges r empty or dry. if u have placed ur cartridge in very dry area. it will become dry so it may not get to flow the ink when we print. so u can clean the cartridge with soft cloth. and shake it forcely the ink will come out. while we can estimate that how much of ink would be there.

that cartridge capacity is 10ml so we cant expect too much of print from it. we can refill it 5 to 7 times itself

They are extremely low volume cartridge, about 60 pages is unfortunately reasonable.

They will print about 140 if you are only printing 12 point font double spaced on fast draft.

From what I understand they can be refilled, however this is not without incident.

Simply peel back the label, you will see 5 holes, they will all be blaock on the number 21, for the number 22 you will clearly see the three colours, just inject the ink into the corresponding hole. Allow to stand and settle overnight. this will allow the ink to saturate the hard sponge behind the print head, this will also ensure the cartridge is not leaking.

The cartridge will still read as empty, don't worry about it keep printing, you will not have an ink level, you will need to use a keen eye. When the print begins to fade, refill again.

Run regular print head cleaning to keep your print head in good condition. You may only get about 3-5 refills out of one cartridge if you are lucky. So you will still need to keep replacing cartridges from time to time.
