my nephew showed me the new power rangers coming out this month because he wants the toys. and i saw a black guy being a black ranger and i was shocked. because the producers said that they wont make another black ranger be a black guy because of mighty morphin (walter emmanuel jones) people felt it was racist and the producers agreed! now they're going back on their word and doing some sneaky stuff even if this actor says he want to be black, they still have to say no because of what happened. to me it's a big deal because the producers (most of them the same old people) are going back on thier word. so if you yahoo people say some smart *** remark to me fine dont worry i'll say something back to u!

Yup, it's true. It's starting this month, by the way. Anyway in regards to what the producers said. They have different producers and an owner compared to when Walter was still around as Zack, the first Black Ranger so they're not worrying too much about that fact anymore plus they couldn't change it even if they wanted to since they're pretty much done filming the season. They usually get done by either March or April.

Being the Black Ranger has no bearing on what color the actor is under the helmet. Each color is representing character aspects and traits, black being the solid, reliable ranger. Just as pink is meant to represent the feminine aspects and red is meant to represent the most bold and brave of the rangers. I wish people would stop making an issue of color... It is like saying a notebook is being racist because all its pages are WHITE... I would accuse the producers of being racist if the ranger line up was...

Red Ranger - Native American
Yellow Ranger - Asian
Black Ranger - African American
Pink Ranger - a homosexual of any race
Green Ranger - a SEA-SICK white guy
Blue Ranger - a FROZEN white guy
Gold Ranger - C-3PO

I think that you are trying to see controversy where there really is none.

Not saying anything smart but think about what you are saying., they have BET=Black Entertainment Television that African-Americans created ok? Now if white people did that WET=White Entertainment Television, then every African-American in America would call that racist. Just like lots of stand-up comedy such as Chris Rock, always has someone making fun of Caucasian people. If you compare all that then that is a lot more racist then making the black guy the black ranger.
