Many Americans find "Corner Gas" funny, as I do. You don't have to live in the region to find it funny, although I'm sure it helps if you do and can understand a lot of the "in" jokes. Also, Gabrielle Miller is gorgeous and I could watch her even if the show wasn't funny!
Oh, and David Letterman is a more cerebral type of humor, which is why *some* people don't get him. ;-)

We watch it in Australia, my family likes it although one reviewer didnt. Americans think david letterman is funny so their opinions dont really count.
Its not the sort of show to give you belly aches but not all comedies do. They just need to be entertaining.

I didn`t realize that it was shown anywhere except Canada. It`s a good show. If you like Canadian humour you should try to watch Trailer Park Boys.
