No, it's just you. You have been specially selected to trial snowy weather. Everywhere else in the country is continuing as normal. There are no news items on TV, radio, internet or in newspapers that vaguely mention the weather today.
etc.

Hello'
We are in Warrington in Cheshire, and we had a light dusting of snow between 7 and 9 this morning.Hrdly enough to make a single ice-cube.... If it gets any worse for you and I hope it doesn't think about telephoning the council and see if they can help you to be released from your predicament, and make thw best of what services you still have like heat water and light, I hope you are freed soon. Good luck..

My biggest dread about the snow was the thought of having to drive in it. I found out this morning both my children's schools are closed so I've had to stay at home & not go to work. I do feel guilty because most of my colleagues are in, but at the same time relieved at not having to drive.

Can't you take the bus or walk? And in any case, how pathetic to claim you can't get the car out of the drive. Shovel the snow away and use a brush to sweep it off the car. That's what I did at 6.30 this morning. We have six inches of snow in NW London. Only people who want to make a drama out of this moderate snowfall are making a fuss and skiving off. The rest of us take it in our stride and get on with life.

Not much here in North Wales, just a "smattering" on the rooftops, very pretty though!
