I know exactly what you mean.
think of it like this...You are more aware than the average because most people would never notice OR put the instances together.
I think there is something to it but we still have to find the answer

It is very probable that you are under the syndrome of "red light traffic". When you go by foot, the red light is for pedestrians, when you are by car, then the red light is for cars.
What happens is that when minutes are different from hours you dont pay attention to it. And you pay attention only to the coincidencies.
¿How to solve the enigma? Take a notepad, and each time you look at your clock write down the hour-min. After a week or so, verify the results.
There is another interpretation: maybe you own a special clock, maybe a tampered one.

it's a coincidence, and most people give it no particular significance ... many Germans on the other hand celebrate the "Schnapszahlen" as an excuse to drink - so go ahead, celebrate - life's too short not to.
Also, you probably look at the time more often than you know it, and guess which times you notice that you looked at the time ... !

Some repair in the clock. Rectify the defect or buy a new one.
There is no relative motion between the hour hand and minute hand.

It is just a coincidence.
...but it is very freaky - perhaps you're body is so in tune with what time it is that your subconcious tells you to look at the clock when these times occur...

Subconcious body clock perhaps. Like when you wake up at the right time even though you forgot to set your alarm.

It's called selective memory. You note the times when the hours and the minutes are equal, and forget the times you checked when they were not equal.
