Connect the Broad Band to the System in the Upstairs. Add a Second Network Card and Connect a cable between the Upstairs and downstairs computer. Now enable internet connection sharing. Now all the data would go through the computer in the upstairs.

Still need help get back to me.

i could in my opinion recommend going for a netgear router and pci card quite of the usb dongle as those routers are very immediately forward to establish. verify the 1st element you do is set the wifi encryption to WPA2 to end all the wifi hackers!! as for the broadband velocity you would be fortunate in case you get the completed 16MBPS in case you do enable us to all no the broadband provider, if its virgin media then you gets that form of velocity as they're so a good distance the only organisation to have fiber optics underground to deliver the broadband down..solid success...

It might depend on how far you are from the BT exchange. You have to be very close to get the full 16Meg. I live 2Kms from my exchange and with an 8Meg connection I was told I would only get about 5.5Meg.
