Most children get their morals from their parents, so its best that parents know what "morality" really is. Ask yourself if you really know what good vs. bad is. Morality is not what most people think it is. For example, having sex before getting married is a moral question for some parents, reasoning out to your parents at a young age is considered immoral, etc.

We are the role model for our children. We should take care of the children by observing them without their notice what they are doing and we have to correct them when they make mistakes. Telling them moral stories is also a good thing. We have to encourage them when they do good things. We should teach/guide them how to behave in society.

I agree with the first post. Teach by example.
By example you can let them see what you are doing is right, and when they ask why, you should tell them why it is right.
But be careful though, make sure to teach the truth and make sure you believe what you are teaching them is good and is the truth if not, your words will have less veracity in them, and you will not have the same credibility as later.
My parents were hippocritical christians, acting very good outward, but inward they don't really consider the doctrine of their church very well, and now thanks to them, i've considered being an atheist. :)

I'm afraid teaching children moral values today is becoming almost impossible! due to media exposures such as television, Ipods, porn videos, and the 'net' Their little minds are subject to corruption, twentyfour-seven! Short of going far away into the wilderness to live, where there is no elecricity to plug into, how can we put a stop to it?

By example is the best way. Don't alow immorality in your home. Make it clear that immorality is not something you approve of or will support. Don't choose their friends for them but steer them toward better choices, because let's face it, you kids friends probably have more influence over them than you do.

They will live by the values that you, as their parents, set them. Just observe the kids from disfunctional families. It's up to you.

Kids learn much more by watching our way of living and being with other people, than by our words.
Then, at the end, the choice is theirs. You did your part.
