but I owe taxes from my 401K. Because of that I found out that the government charges an exhorbitant finance charge on your debt. I pay $309 a month and it all goes on interest (from $14,000). Isn't that immoral?

Wait until you hear the truth about debt and tax elimination policy and then you'll really be wondering why so many people blindly pay their taxes.

In 1900 the average American paid about 5% of their earnings to support local, state and federal government. By 2000, that was over 33%. This fails to include the fact that public debt was nonexistent in 1900 and was so enormously out of control that neither party addressed the issue during the most recent elections much less in legislation.

Americans are like the frog being boiled in the saucepan on the stovetop. It's happening so slowly most people just accept it as "the way things are." My question to you is: if you knew how to eliminate both public debt and taxation (all forms at all levels of government) and still pay for government services what would you do?

The Government is doing what is called theft by deception.Ther never was an income tax ment for plain american citizens.Article 861 of the internal revenue code outlines who is responsible to pay taxes on income.US Citizens earning money from FOREIGN entities, whether they live in the united states or in another country.Big oil,Tobacco industries, pharmaceuticle Companies,Gas,Phone,Electric,
cable,Alcohol,Guns. Not income on labor.Income on services are supposed to be taxed.Aliens living here are also required to pay taxes.IRS is a huge fraud. Our Government doesnt even own IRS.Its run by private individuals,The central Bank-Federal Reserve.Mafia aka illuminati.
And if we dont pay these unconstitutional taxes, big men with big guns will come and take it from us.And whys that-because they can. type in theft by deception in search bar

Income tax didn't start until 1913, the same year the Federal reserve opened. Both are fraudulent. There are many people working to change this unconstitutional scam, that the Globalists brought about for their own evil agendas....!!!

That figures to be 30% (APR) interest. If your figures are correct and you can't pay the debt, can you borrow it at a lower rate to pay it off? If you have a home equity line, the interest could also be tax deductible.

Not immoral, if you owe you owe, that simple. Pay as much as you can to the priciple on top of the interest and lower your debt as fast as you can. Or you could borrow from a lower interest institution and pay it that way, but bottom line is you owe. I owe, I owe, so off to work I go.

Immoral? Yes I'd say it is. But it's also the government. Surely you don't expect morality to enter into it?
