3. 2 of which i have known since i was five, and one i met as an adult a few years back
loads of friends, who come and go, but these 2 and i have kept close through so much, even though i moved abroad 5 yrs ago. when i felt crap last year, they both came out to surprise me and cheer me up...
the other one is someone i tell all my secrets too and we know each others lives inside out.
i would feel blessed even if i had just one of those people in my life, 3 is just great.

I Have three.
My Best Friend Karen - She is funny and open and I can tell her anything. I go to her to vent and chat and she comes to me for fun and advice.
My Mum - The best friend a girl can ever have! We have the same sense of humour and same taste in everything!
My Boyfriend Jon - I have no Idea what I would do without him! We tell each other absolutely everything and I can always rely on him to make me feel really loved.

I have one best friend. She is someone i trust. There is no point having 4 best friends if they are going to talk behind your back. I am not saying this would happen in every situation but it is certainly plausible!

life throws you many things and so I believe its best to have a good circle of freinds who may not necessarily all know each other but know YOU. they will all be people you trust to share a secret with and to go to for advice. many friends know different things and give different advice allowing you the oppurtunity to receive a varied amount of options instead of just one peice of advice which you may not agree with.
its more healthy to have lots of good freinds than just one who may not be there forever.....

Just one who fits into this category. In times of trouble you very quickly discover who your true friends are,not as many as you think. The saying that you can count all your friends on one hand and still have fingers left is very true.

I suppose i have three, but i hardly ever see the 'best of the best' as he lives far far away. But when we do see eachother it is like we simply carried on where we left off.
