Wait at least 4 more days and try again. And try birth control, condoms. It's a lot easier than worrying.

Try not to worry. The body is not a machine & many things can make periods out of synch.
Its difficult to give advise as more info required. If there is a chance you are pregnant you may have that on your mind, which is causing you stress & causing you to be late.
The best thing for you to do is try not to worry, wait a few days and if theres no sign of flo then go to the docs & she/he will give you a blood test.

DO NOT at this stage rule out pregnancy....I was a full week late before my test showed positive...the three I tried before that all came back negative. Id wait a few more days and do another test, and despite what the packaging says about ok to test any time of day...there are so many of us women whose pregnancy hormone (HCG) level isnt high enough in our system to detect early on in pregnancy and also not strong enough to pick it up other than in first morning urine when our levels are at their highest. if you are not pregnant then go to see you GP for further advice about why your period is late. You have not given your age past medical history etc. and importantly contraceptive history! This makes answering difficult.
Pregnancy tests are very sensitive and reliable these days, despite this I would repeat the test in 48 hours if you have not started to bleed. Simple things like stress can delay periods. If it is still negative however, make a routine appointment to chat to your GP.

Stress does make your period late, change in life style and things on your mind could be a reason to. If you are really that worried try go to the GP.

It could be many reasons why you are late, dont get youorself orried at this early stage. Leave it a fe more days and see hat happens. Maybe even go to the doctor for a test if no sign of it in a week.

loads of things can affect your period cycle for example stress, extensive exercise or a change in your diet ... it's really nothing to worry about but if you do feel any kind of pain e.g. bad cramps, go and see your doctor...you might have an underlying problem. If you don't start soon they may also give you a pill to start your period. i wouldn't worry though it is probably just a little late :-)

Sometimes, when you are stressed out and worried, your period is delayed. Usually, HPTs are pretty accurate (given that you've used them correctly). It's totally counter-intuitive but perhaps the stress is what is causing you to be late.

Go for a blood test for an accurate answer.
Then you can stop worrying.
No-one has their period to the date all the time.
