The IP address is the numerical code that specifies that it is YOUR computer. You can get your email from another computer, so it is different - not the same thing. The IP address is the actual "web" numerical code address of the computer, unless you've got it set up to "fool" a computer by using firewalls, etc.

An email address is written in standard English, in the form of a domain name.

Hi
IP Address is a unique indentifier across the globle to indentify your computer (Only WAN). there are some ip address used in the LAN i am not refering to that.
Mail Address is unique to your Organisation or to that Domain. Eg Jack.Jill@noone.com, even other Org can have jack.jill@someone.com...
