About the serenading one...I could do that myself. It would be cheaper than hiring someone, and I think it would be tough to find someone with a better voice than me.

It depends on what you want to spend....
One idea would be to buy your girlfriend a star. Yes, a star. If you go to http://www.starnamer.org you can "purchase" a star, name it after her and they'll give you an astrological map and coordinates to find it. It's good stuff for around $40-$50.
You could also find out her favorite foods and fix them for her.
Something else that would be great (and cheap, but memorable) is if you take pink and red construction paper cut into heart shapes (you can also use heart shaped stationary). On each one write something that you love about her (ex: I love your smile, I love the way you kiss me goodnight, etc..) and put them in a pretty container (or you can decorate a mason jar) then let her read them.
You can make a CD of sappy love songs or her favorite songs, then dance with her while it plays.
Buy her a dozen roses (11 red, 1 yellow). The 11 roses are for how much you love her, the 1 yellow to remind her that she'll always be your best friend.
