Can anyone tell me the HTML i would need to use to open an image in a new window and enlarge it?

I dont want to use Java for this but if forced i will, if you know the answer can you copy the code into your reply

Preferably i'd like to open it up an a smaller window rather than fullscreen with loads of white space.

I only know how to do this using Java so thats no help; but the new image isn't an enlarged version of the thumbnail on the first page. Its a different version of the image.
Its not a good idea to ask the browser to enlarge or shrink images. If you want a thumbnail to display at 150 x 150 pixels, use an image that size. Then use a bigger version for the bigger image.
It takes a browser ages to shrink a big image and the visitor will get bored waiting for it to load. And if you try to enlarge a thumbnail it'll just be pixels and look rubbish!

You could just have a larger copy of the image on the server, and then when you click the image it would popup with the larger image in the window. So what you would have to do is make a page with just the larger image on it, so when you click the small image it opens the large image in a new window. if you would like the code to make a popup window a certain size, then email me.

you won't be able to convert images into HTML code. HTML is only a markup language you should host your photo someplace like photobucket and then, link to it utilising the img tag like this:
