I don't think that anyone can tell you why people we care about die young. It seems so cruel and unfair. Although I can't answer your question, here is something I was told and would like to believe. My Mom passed away when I was 16, and I had to watch her die from cancer. It was so upsetting and I got angry, sad and so confused! I couldn't understand why God would do this to me, to her, to my family! We needed her here! My Mom sat be down and said something that put me alittle at ease. She said that although she was young and that she didn't want to go that she had faith in God, that this is something that was in the "plan" and ahe believed that it was her time becaue she had accomplished whatever she had been sent to do, which she thought was to have 3 beautiful children, raise them with morals and love, teach them to be good people, to love others and be compasionate. She told me that she had done that and felt her life, even though short had been so full and happy.
I know this isn't an answer but Ifind it comforting because everyone who die, whether a baby or and adult has to have affected the ones around them, and maybe just by opening someones heart to feel love, they have done ther job!

It is not always true.The degree of nice is given on the basis of the good works done by a person for the society he belongs to.So most of the nice people do not die young.However loss of few nice people bring them into the category of the nicest.Further it is true that the flowers of glory blooms at the grave.

Dying young is has nothing to do with personality. Sometimes they are just dumb enough to take drugs, or drive drunk, and get whats coming to them.
And occasionally they just get unlucky, get hit by a car, or come down with an incurable diesase. But it happens to a**holes too!

You know. It always seems that way, which is so terrible. (For those who have a belief in GOD, He has a plan for everybody and maybe those people who died young were needed for other reasons.

God likes good and nice people.he send them to earth as just a model humans to teach others the way of good living.so he calls them back to heven very early. thats why nice people die early.we all are sinned so we live a longer life just to see the dirty world for a longer time and to live in this dirt to do some more sin. nice people are luky they die eary and reach god early only becuase they look nice to him..........
