Sounds like too much strain on your optic nerve...sometimes too much caffine gets your eyes to strain for some because the caffeine makes you so awake that you eyes...although weary staying open. Eyes have muscles too...they get tired. Since you are unlikely to fall asleep, take a cold compress like a frozen ice pack/frozen wet sponge (direct ice may be too chilly) and press against your eyes...that should relieve the feeling. If that doesn't work, lay back you head and keep your eyes closed for a few minutes and open after rubbing your lids with your fingers in a circular pattern...around your orbit. Good luck

I've had that, and it wasn't until I read that question that I realised that was when I get it. I think maybe drink a whole heap of water? That's my mum's cure for everything - drink more water, watch less tv, and go to bed earlier.

I only drink one cup of coffee a day, how many cups do you drink? Maybe you should see a Doctor, it could be something a Doctor can help you with. Best wishes. =)

lol. virgin... okay, don't panic.
Take some tylenol or motrin, use some rehydrating drops in your eyes, place a cold damp wash cloth over you eye/forehead area, drink water, lie down in the dark ... AND either stop with all that coffee or switch to decaf.

If I drink too much coffee, I get "coffee high", not what you get.
