Have you ever just been flopping around the internet (perhaps on Y/A) and you have the tv on in the background and suddenly you look up and ask yourself what the hell am I watching? Does your tv have to be turned onto something entertaining even if you're only idly watching it, or does it matter when you're enthralled?

A lot of the time, I only have mine on for noise. I noticed earlier when I looked over that it was on some colon cleanse infomercial. I hadn't even noticed.

I used to need the TV on as background noise, but lately (especially since discovering Y!A) I've wanted to make sure it's off as often as possible. I just don't really care for too much TV anymore. Sometimes I have it on a music channel (we get those on extended cable), but most of the time I prefer it off.

The TV or radio is always on, and it has to be something I would watch, computer or no computer. Monty Python is on right now, which may explain the quality of some of the answers I've unleashed tonight.

I have to have the tv on all the time whether I'm watching it or not. While Im on the computer I have it on but it has to be something I like regardless of whether I'm watching it or not.

I don't look at TV, I just answer questions and like it quiet so I can concentrate, I work in a noisy environment so when I come home and on Yahoo I like it to be quiet. =)

Oddly, it does matter. For instance, when an infomercial comes on, I have to get up and change it, even if I wasn't paying any attention before.

It has to be soemthing interesting, even if I am not watching it. I love background noise, this is how I concentrate, very weird!

well if its late at night i go on the computer but i leave the tv on for sum reason
