Most police are cocky and power hungry and think that they are better than everyone else. They usually have below average intelligence and were made fun of in school. They see the police force as a way to get a leg up on everyone who has always been better than them. Then they go through a 6 month training program where they learn how to properly beat people and are given a gun, a badge, and a union to hide behind. I realize that the police are necessary, but I personally have no respect for them. I ridicule that all the time regardless of whether or not I am breaking a law.

In my opinion you give up your right to be a person when you become a cop. You are forced to do anything that someone else tells you to. For example...if you were a cop in the 1950s then you would have to arrest black people for coming in to white restaurants etc. It doesn't matter what you think about black people, you would just have to do it. You are pretty much becoming society's b*tch when you become a cop.

Hey you should really stop stereotyping so much. You are making a lot of people sound stupid and lazy when they are not. If you actually took the time to arrange your thoughts in a non-hateful way you might have been able to do some good with this post. In reality all you did was create more hate and give more ammo to Bush haters.

I guess stereotyping is ok, if you don't like the group you're stereotyping.

Yeah, i get pissed when i get a ticket or something. But I never blame the officer who gives me the citation. He/She is just do what the job requires. They dont make the laws and they break them and get caught just like everyone else. Oh and a friendly tip, it seems as though a police officer will only pull over the winner of a race type situation. so if your gonna race, lose.

First, you should define People. If People are Men who in turn are those being caught breaking the law, then what worth is there being known as People? There are bound to be People who disrespect Women. There are bound to be Humans who value Women. It's all about perceptions.

i personally have little respect for the police because we live in a police state that gives police rights they shouldn't have and police abuse their power in an attempt to make the ends justify the means. i had a roommate that had an ex call the police on him pretending he was a drug dealer to get him in trouble. police showed up at the door no search warrant with a story that they were tipped off that we were harboring a minor who needed medication. the story was of course to search the house without a warrant. i was held outside against my will while they searched the house and of course found nothing because there was nothing to find. why should i respect the police? cockroaches are more respectable creatures.
