look... smoking is a touchy subject. at first you wonder WHY such a good person would start such a nasty habbit in the first place. so the question here is not if that person is good or not, but if they are a steady and firm character who can make their own decisions. because sometimes people dont start smoking just coz they think its cool, but because they dont know any better and the rest of their friends or family do it, or maybe because they have been through problems in their life and they use smoking as a means of escaping their painful reality.

remember sevi? she's my best friend!!! i love her like noone else in the world (except one other person, of course)!!! the fact that she smokes DID upset me since i care so much for her and i know nothing good ever comes of that nasty habbit, but i certainly dont love her any less because of that. smoking is a weakness and you know better than anyone that we should not under ANY cercomstances love people less for their weaknesses!!!! in fact what you have to do is love them MORE for them!!! care about that person even more and show them that you respect their choice. smoking is their choice, their right.... even if it is bad for them. if u care about that person so much, then you HAVE to respect their choices...

so my answer to ur question? NO U DO NOT CHANGE UR OPINION ABOUT SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE THEY SMOKE!

i HAVE to quit smoking. i WANT to quit smoking. i made an offer to my gf, who btw is the MOST AMAZING WOMAN IN THE WORLD, i told her if she can meet me this morning [i will leave from here to go home in 20 minutes] at my home, i will leave the door open and i will try and get some sleep - if she comes in the house and has a nap with me, not only will i quit smoking but i will quit drinking diet coke, enroll the whole family at Great Death gyms, have the clan on the benefit plan before the weekend, take her to a spa and then buy some new jeans, have her live with me whenever she is ready [she can stay and rest at home foreever if she wishes] then marry her, and wait a second, what am i saying, i don't have a gf. i have a computer i am in love with. damn dellusional crap again. i really thought i saw a picture of her tonite and i felt so warm, but then i remembered i had my longjohns on and i had just pee'd myself so that was it. i once dated a woman that lived in caseeeeeeelllivile but i lost her directons and she never called. so, now i eat chickpea salad and cucumber sandwishes in the dark. lol

Well...I absolutely detest smoking, but I have members of my family that smoke and I still love them the same, I'm just disappointed that they would risk their health for smoking.

Smoking is becoming more anti-social now with stricter laws on smoking in public so I think that less and less people will be inclined to smoke.

None of my friends smoke, but I don't think it would change my opinions about them if they were to start, as true friendship is unconditional.

I have known many people who are nice, intelligent, fun to be around, etc. but when they smoke I have a hard time letting myself become close. I spent too much of my life around smokers and their smoke when I didn't have a choice. I don't want to expose myself to any more of that than I have to.

What's wrong with smoking?
---------------------------------------

I like to kick back and enjoy a good cigar|

Even cigarettes can be made safe - but the industry does not want to for its own purposes| (just like it doesn't want to do a lot of things that it can, but won't, because it will cut into its huge profits)|

Many people suffer greviously in life and can be helped with the technology and knowledge that is available, but many multinationals withhold this information to peddle *their* products that will *maximize* their profits|
