My present employer is not providing pf facility … so can we make our own PF contribution … if so pls let me know how ?

Dear ravi,

An employer can not deduct the pf from the salary of his employees' unless he has a registration number of the PF DEPTT/MEMBERSHIP. and its also true if the employer not registered than his employee can not contribute their contribution to the fund. therefore it is suggested that the indian govt has make such type of a/c i.e. PPF which give the same type of benefits to the account holder. this a/c may be open with some designated branch SBI, ICICI, PNB, ORIENTAL BANK OF COMMERCE. for more detail u may contact to ur nearest bank branch. thanks

You can open a Public Provident Fund Account with a Post Office or any of the State Banks.

Yes. You can open Provident Fund a/c in any bank / post office.
You will rebate under income tax.
