Do you think there could be any useful ways that people may use clones for?

Organ replacement. If we could grow the organs separately with out growing a whole human being, then we would probably solve that whole organ-shortage.

Second, if we could clone animals and grow them for food, I bet we could solve world hunger too.

Quite an interesting question to ask... I have a very strong view on a reason why cloning should be permitted. Of course it goes without saying that I think certain reasons should be allowed but only under very strict guidance from trained doctors. I don't think it should be something that can easily be obtained.

My husband and I cannot have children. Well, I can, it's he who cannot. Some men have a low sperm count, my husband however, does not produce any sperm at all. There is no blockage or anything, he simply just does not produce sperm. With that being said, there is no way that any in vitro fertilization treatments will help us.

However, if a doctor could extract part of his DNA and part of my DNA, they could then, for lack of better words, "do their magic" and create a cloned version of a baby that would literally be our child 100%, just artificially. By taking sperm from a donor, they could strip the sperm of the donor's DNA and insert my husband's DNA.

Really there are two ways it could be done, either by taking both of our DNA and creating a baby that would grow up the same as it would if it was produced naturally, or by the prior mentioning of combining our DNA into one.

I pray for the day that this is regulated and permitted. I've got very heartfelt feelings about the matter and can only hope one day we will be able to have our own child.

Organ transplants. The tissue matching would be perfect. Some form of this is already occurring, but is limited only to organs, not entire human beings.
