what went wrong is ,the english are cought up in all the press talk telling them that everything english is better than anyone else,the players and supporters think that they are supreme,fact ,they have only 1 world cup to their name,and they cheated to get that,playing all their games at wembley,goal that wasn't a goal, another while a pitch invasion was taken place.in short they are crappo,
question,when did england last beat either of the two IRELANDS.

England should have won but they had loads of problems with injuries and Ben Foster in goal !!!! It was a rubbish squad and that is why england lost it was a shame with no Rooney Or OWEN

I live in the basque country (Spain they say).
I love the English conception of foot ball. For sure the English team is much better that what it showed to be last night. It was a game to try new things and not to go all out.
The team will do much better when required to do so in a serious game.
I would not worry to much.
Spain was not much of a team either, their performance was also low.
For sure both federations cashed in, what could very well be the main goal in this kind of games.

Not really, one step closer to that smug b@stard McLaren getting the chop!
Besides, wasn't really a game to go out and win, it was bed in some of the new blood, some experience for them
And, I was so sure we would win the world cup, expectations so cruelly dashed, I hno longer expect anything more from that pathetic mob of overpaid nancy boys!

I think we were getting tired towards the end and I think Peter Crouch deserved better then that last night he should of got that penalty if that ref weren't so blind. And I don't think our tactics were that brilliant either
