The best solution is: Grate your own.
You will be rewarded by a much more flavorful and aromatic Parmesan Cheese.

Maybe you just need to buy a better quality 'ready grated parmesan cheese' or maybe you are leaving it unused for too long??

Or, continue as normal, just purchase a 'kitchen hammer' and smash the f**k out of it whenever appropriate (available at all good DIY stores)!!!

Grate your own.
Dont hit ungrated parmesan cheese with your racquet, it would probably break the strings.
