I attempted to drive to work today but had to turn round n come back the snow was just too thick n the traffic was at a standstill everyone with their hazzards on. Apparently quite a few roads are closed.

Who else has got snowed in today?

If so are you pleased or gutted?

Im well chuffed :-)

Agree with you Rob - me and the family are well
chuffed!! Husband rang in and a few of his collegues
have made their way in. He has booked the day off.
I think people are mad going on the roads when they
are so bad. As the day goes on though it is expected
to get worse. So why put yourself in danger? Just for
the sake of work. You may be able to get there but
are you going to get back? Thats the worry. Have a
good day.

Not I, but I hear Canadu got blasted a few days ago. Tell me, do they pay wages for snow days??? And what does well chuffed mean? When I am snowed in, I am not at all pleased after the first twenty minutes of oooohhhhahhhhhs.....

The whole neighborhood was out at 7.30 this morning with their kids - we made a snowman with a carrot nose! Apparently my friend's school is shut so she is bringing her little boy here for me to look after today while she is at work. Don't we all just go crazy - I have a cousin in Canada and they have loads of snow there and they don't stop, everything just carries on!!

I'm in Basingstoke - We have about 3 inches of snow in places - I drove to Winchester and back this morning and it's clearer down there...
It's still snowing heavily here - so I expect a lot more to come.
I'm a chauffeur so driving is my job... There are places that are VERY dangerous today - so if you don't need to go out.. then I advise you not to.

i live so darn close to work and in a town that i could drive easily on the roads without too much danger. was a bit slidey at times but made it safe.

wish i could be a kid again , stay home and run around playing, instead i got angry when the little beggers kept running in front of my car having fun. when did i get so old

We don't have that much snow, don't know why people panick? But then again - in England 2-3 inches snow is a disaster! :-) Where I come from it's nothing.

I'm well pleased for you people who stayed at home due to it though not so sure if I would be if it would affect me in any way! ;-)

We were given quite a number of rain the day handed by the following in NJ yet no snow! Snow is doubtless on its way regardless of the reality that....yet not as a lot as you. purely 2-4 inches on Thursday and one better 2 inches on Friday. nonetheless stinks!!! i decide on the spring the following already!!! the position are you?

Very pleased. I'm in North London and the tube is messed up so i'm "working from home". Already creamed my housemates with a few snowballs - gonna be a cracking day!

I'm off to the pub at lunch to celebrate!

There has been a light dusting of snow just north of Glasgow. Not much to write about though.
