I think it would take more than those three words to make me leave my spouse. I would want to know who he said it to and why, I wouldn't want to jump to conclusions just because of that alone, still I think the only time it's approprate for a husband to tell a woman other than his wife "I love you" is when he's speaking to his mommy. I hope the two of you can resolve this issue with out "untying" the "knot." Best wishes!

if he loves someone else than he doesn't love u, i would confront him immediately tell him what u heard, he will of course try to lie out of it, make u think u didn't hear it to make u question yourself, but u heard it and people do communicate with words, so u need to find out just what he meant, but if he is telling others he loves them he isn't feeling too much love for u.

Well not a whole lot of info here but in general I would recommend a proper communication about this. Sit down and talk about it and see what is happening. Maybe you heard wrong--maybe you heard right. Get to the bottom of it and act accordingly---even if you have to leave---it does happen.

It totally depends on the context, "I love you" is used so often these days, I don't even say it back anymore because it's lost alot of value, but I do say it when I mean it, not just because someone got me somethiing "Oh I love you"...

Who was it? A friend, a relative, the plumber. "I love you" is said so often these days you need to know the context. Don't get worked up over something that may be nothing. Go talk to her...or him.

i would ask my spouse first, and then if they had a reasonable answer mention to the it is not acceptable and it will create big holes in your trust and position you ahve for them in your marriage

well, it would depend on who he was speaking to and just what kind of "love" he meant. his mother? no problem...ditto sister, aunt, favorite cousin...

the word "love" has many different meanings, depths, and shades of intensity. you need a translation or an explanation. as the spouse, you deserve no less.

blessings and peace,
cryllie
