O.K. If you get a blue screen that says memory dump at the bottom, it's probably a registry problem. You can usually solve this by reinstalling a copy of windows onto the system. If you have a windows disc, you can do a repair installation. You may also have some bad RAM. Most systems that I fix usually have bad RAM associated with that problem. I would defiantly try a different stick of RAM to start off with though. Pull out your RAM, check the size, the type, and the Hz of the RAM. Go and get you a stick and try it out. Just remember to keep the receipt if it doesn't work. You can always take it back and tell them that you got the wrong kind. If that doesn't work out for you, you may want to try that repair install. That will usually fix the problem too.The third possibility is that your hard drive has crapped out and has some major bad sectors in it. Remember to crank up the Metal Music if this happens. Only because you will want to beat someone if it is down. I'm almost positive you will solve your problem with the RAM though. So, try that out and let me know if it still does it. I may be able to help you out a little more. I can only type so much on this thing...lol

If its not exactly the same every time like a recurring error message, I bet its not a virus. My bet is that it a relitivly good motherboard and has the saftey feature that shuts itsself down when it gets too hot!
It may certainly be a malfunction, but I would check that your system is in a cool place, no mess surrounding it.
And if you know how, check the Heatsink and fan, maybe get some thermal compound and reset the heatsink and fan. The fan might not even be working at all and that maybe the issue.
But anyway thats an avenue that you could check, good luck

most likely a hard drive problem on the boot sector, ram has been known to do it as well, but beware many people pull out the ram and replace it but often it can be just that the ram is fine and needs reseating, remove the ram wipe the pins and then reseat it a couple of times.as far as the hard drive if the problem exists you could try a low level format and reinstall windows but make sure the utility you use for the low level format is correct for the drive manufacturer and type, most hard disk manufacturers have them on their sites.

You have a program or programs that is conflicting with your original software. I would look over what you might have downloaded that is new or anything that you did different on your computer. Something is not compatible and that is why it keeps shutting off.
