Those Europeans, they're always buying into the latest fad, no matter how wrongheaded it may be. Apparently, a good number of them have abolished capital punishment.
This is creating problems for us here in the USA. It seems that some folks have gotten the idea into their thick skulls that because Europe does something, it must be a "good idea". Unfortunately, they have applied this "monkey-see, monkey-do" mentality to capital punishment.
How can we get Europe back into the realm of logic?

How about letting us Europeans live the way we want ? We have already enough pariah countries in the world which are still using the death penalty. Thank you .
EDIT : So you think we need a "world police " ( of course the USA ) who dictates everybody in the world how to think and how to live ?

Some parties in Poland and the eastern states agree with you. However, the majority of people in Europe think its a disgrace. It goes against Christian beliefs which is what European countries are founded on, or have you forgotten that the Ten Commandments had a view on killing?
Logic also can be used against you in this argument, that you have massive gun crime, you have the death penalty, Europe has low gun crime and has fewer murders, it has a larger population and does not have the death penalty. So logically speaking capital punishment as a detterant doesn't seem to be working.

Let them deal with matters as they will.
When they start letting out the Serial Killers they may rethink their decision, then again maybe they won't.
Regardless, it's none of our business, just as anything "we" do is none of their business.
