Details:

I am able to keep my own room very neat. It's every other room that is a mess.

I want to tidy up the 'store' rooms, where everyone's 'everyday' stuff is kept.

But I can't - because I don't have permission to move everyone else's stuff.

F.y.i. it's not a simple mess. It would take a strong man a few hours to cut through the mess.

Thanks.

F.y.i. I'm living with my own folks, not room mates. LOL. More care is needed when negotiating with family, which is tricky.

You could try to get one (or more) room mates to help if theres someone else that it bothers too..Kinda sounds like your on your own though :~( So keeping your own stuff out of their mess is what I'd try for, & perhaps check with your housemates & see if you can have like a section of store space in a room or ? for your stuff? Though you never know maybe other people there might really like your help if you ask. The person whose stuff is buried in back is gonna want to get at it someday! I'd be looking for a new place to move with neat people like yourself.
Good Luck:~))

Well, I think you should make a deal with them so that you can put a few thing away but not make it really "clean".

sit down and talk with them calmly
