Someone once told me that if you rub a little lemon juice on the oily parts of the skin the acid will help clear it up. I've never tried it though - I've always had the opposite problem with excessively dry skin.

I find it amazing that people think cutting fat out of your diet will help with oil control. *rolls eyes* While excessive fat consumption (a la Atkins) will contribute to oil production, a normal amount of fats is necessary in the diet. Drinking more water will help with hydration and make you look healthier.
Anyhow, having oily skin myself I can give these tips:
1) don't overwash your face. If your skin tends to get red and irritated after washing, use a facial cleanser for sensitive skin and cool (not cold, not warm) water to wash your face only twice a day using your hands, not scrubbing for minutes on end with a washcloth.
2) Invest in a good oil-control moisturizer (I use Shiseido Pureness mattifying moisturizer), because dry skin can make your skin produce more oil. Use non-alcohol toners if you feel you must. Depending on the humidity of your area, you might need more or less moisture (when I lived in the desert, I had to use a richer moisturizer than when I lived on the beach)
3) Use oil-absorbing sheets when necessary (Neutrogena makes good ones, from what I understand.) If you can't afford them, cheap one-ply toilet paper does just as well.
4) Change your pillowcase every 3-4 days, as the fabric will absorb the oil your skin produces and can transfer it the next day.
5) Some higher-end skincare companies also make oil-controlling serums you can apply throughout the day to help absorb oil and control shine.
6) Use scrubs only if your facial skin is not sensitive; don't rub the scrub into the face--swirl it on your skin using light pressure and rinse. Roughing up the skin can also cause irritation and make the skin produce more oil.
7) Use a purifying (clay) mask about once a week to exfoliate.
Above all, in whatever product you use look for the words 'oil-control' and/or 'mattifying'. Even oil-free formulas can make the skin feel oily and nasty, so a certain amount of trial and error is required to find just the right products.

You can't immediately get rid of oily skin. But I suggest you wash your face using St. Ives Apricot Scrub for oily skin. It did wonders to my very oily face. Just wash your face the moment you wake up and before you go to sleep.
If you like you can also use an astringent which is suited for oily skin.
Lastly, sleep early, eat well, and exercise.. :)

And then you can use oil control facial cream a matte finish.it will make you oil free all day long. be careful to wash your face gently, because facial scrud has a micro beads that acts to removes dead skin cell that makes you oily.

Take 2 spoons of milk and add few drops of lemon juice and apply it in the face with cotton and wash after ten minutes. Do it regularly for 15 days and then see the result.

keep on washing yr face, find a perfect soap or anything, but never never use excessive oil sheets, one a fay will help or at least two.. but not more cause that will trigger more production of the oil..
