My broadband connection specifies Windows and IE. If once I connect can I switch to Linux and surf the web using another browser? I am a newbie at this but would like to give Linux a try. I have Ubuntu on a CD and would like to run it off the CD. What browser do I use?

That is what I did. Once my modem was up and configured I dropped a router in w a linux computer on the network.

Surfing is easy.

There are several browsers you can use. Firefox, Epiphany, Konquror, Mozilla, Opera.

Just try them all.

Most folks use Firefox. Opera is another good choice.
