me and chato (friends name) well people are starting romours and well im just nervously scared

It seems to me that the people starting these rumours are only jealous of you and chato. Ignore the rumours, they will die down eventually because people will get bored of talking about the same thing. If you begin to challenge the rumours, other people may realise you are bothered and may continue to tease you and chato! So my advice is to simply ignore those foolish people and enjoy life with chato. It is not uncommon for some best friends to become a couple later in life, but unless you can see you and chato as a couple and not friends then don't worry what other people say. All the best!

Ignore the romours.
As you get older you will realise that jealous people make up nasty things which shows how bitter they are in their own life.
Thoughout your life romours will be started at some point or another and there is no better time to start learning to ignore and shrugg it off than now.
Just ignore the romours, really.

Whatever people say is their problem. Try not to let it upset or bother you. If you and your friend get closer and become a couple then so be it, but don't be pushed into anything and don't worry about what other people say or think. just be happy with whatever you feel confortable with.
