Excellent wines ( better than California)
Nice friendly people, lots of good looking women who are intelligent and not blond bimbos with white picket fences of teeth like the girls at home.

The BBQ and booze like there is no tomorrow so parties are tops and very casual. Things and a pair of shorts

I've been to Perth (Western Australia) and Melbourne (Victoria)

Australia is the best! I'd move there if the Australian gov't were open to immigration. People are wonderful for the most part. Very open minded.

Perth and Fremantle are more laid back and 'sleepy' towns with a relaxed comfortable feel to them.

Melbourne is more city-ish and higher energy, still open-minded, but the people there are more interested in discussion and has a coffee-shop feel to it.

I've been to Melbourne twice, Perth/Fremantle once. Each area has it's own subculture and things to see and do. Every province has their own microbreweries to sample local beverages.

You HAVE to go there! I would go every year if I could afford it.

Our winters are their summers.
their summers are our winters.
the women like men from the USA as there is a shortage of men in Austrailia...just like in parts of Canada around Banff
over all it can be a little humid so dress for the heat but the prices are reasonable as long as you stay away from the tourist traps.I rented an RV for 6 weeks and saved a lot of money on room and board...

It's much better than Florida and it's without the retired crabby New Yorkers.
