okay so i just purchased cross drilled/slotted rotors for the front and rear along with brand new pads, some people are telling me i should have just gone with slotted rotors because x drilled rotors tend to crack and warp a lot, is this true?? would i really be better off just ordering slotted rotors? also about how much longer would these aftermarket rotors and pads last me compared to OEM ones?

It is a possibility they could crack. As for how much longer they will last, I would say not nearly as long as the OEM stuff. Slotted/drilled rotors are a vanity item, not a performance item. They don't measurably improve braking and they increase wear, not decrease it.

Yes they can get edge cracking but you have to be really heating-em up.
Think of any of these rotor's as performance items.
And as such they weren't designed for long life, or they would be advertised that way.
They are designed for performance, which is what they will give you.
Some high buck European cars come with cross drilled rotors standard.
Heck all them holes will at least lighten up your un-sprung weight which leads to better handling, I've pulled some factory wheels and rotors and thought to myself ( man this thing wasn't designed for handling or performance ) the rim and rotor alone must weigh 200 pounds.
