I'm right now in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates and despite this country being an Islamic nation, prostitution and human slavery racket is a stark reality - compelling stories of misery that will fill your heart with pain which puts places like Bangkok and Amsterdam far behind.

Last night saw something terrible, I was in a famous nightclub outside Radisson hotel - as the late hour ticked in - all patrons were asked to leave as some Sheiks with some burqa-clad women (they seemed to be MEN because of their tall heights) stepped in - however, it wasn't strictly enforced and some of us stayed back and nobody seemed to mind.

At around 2 AM, there was a lot of noise and commotion inside. I felt the urge to take a peep, and what I saw was a modern day version of Slavery - several young and underaged girls and some big women were being paraded almost naked in what seemed like an "auction" and there was a huge crowd inside (some 200 men) who were like groping and inspecting the cartel

The girls were drawn from around the world it seemed, Oriental (Chinese-looking), Filipina, Latinos, Russian and/or East European, and also Indian/Sri Lankan and African. The event didn’t seem to be unusual to them – it was like some of them did go through that route “before” – the proceedings were in Arabic – however, there seemed to be a few White people inside too – so some English was also audible –

I just couldn’t stand inside for more than half an hour although nobody seemed to mind my presence which kind proved that local laws APPROVE these things – later, at my hotel I spoke to an Indian manager about this and he told me – this was just the tip of the iceberg – that several Arab countries not only condone slave auctions but it is a way of life for them according to the Quran – as an example, he said at least 50% of the rooms in the very hotel where I stayed – were full of perverted Arabs with their sex merchandise. Of course, I did see a lot of beautiful girls in the hotel and didn’t have to be educated on that.

The girls are much better off once in a Hotel – after that, the perverted Arabs carry their merchandise over to their own palatial mansions in some sand dune across the continent – (what becomes of them once over there is anybody’s guess) – and of course, in Muslim countries – they don’t believe in using CONDOMS!

Many Arabs actually have HIV/AIDS but they Hide it –

Also, almost all Arab households in the Middle East have maid-servants at their homes- mostly from Phillippines, Sri Lanka and India – who are highly likeable to be used as sex slaves not surprising, considering that the very word “maid” in Arabic, is EXACTLY similar to “concubine”.

As an American woman, I would never go to that country. It is a fact that there is slavery in the world, and so many people won't believe it.
Women are chattel in Muslim countries, at least the Arab ones.

I'm very sorry to hear this story... alas, the facade of purity and holiness held so high by Muslim nations has been shown to be a farce. Inhabitants or acquaintances of these countries know that these things happen. They accept and promote the promiscuity and slavery. Wisely, they have chosen to keep it quiet. The disdain for supposedly 'Christian', western, "loose" societies is at best hypocritical.

To be fair to Muslim nations such as the UAE though, people are people everywhere, and they are prone to the corruption, immorality, inequality and decadence that occurs in almost every country. UAE as an Arabic country, as far as I know, has not held itself at the pinnacle of morality and fairness but rather as a centre for business and commerce... and lately tourism.

Sheiks, Prime Ministers, Kings, Presidents and mere CEOs are vulnerable to the corrupting influence of power, which is worsened in the presence of a weak character and lack of integrity.

As a final note, the question to those who know better and are able.. is there anything that they can do, no matter how small, to change it?

Well yes I am sure what you say is true. whilst I was in India we had a maid who had worked there and who said that she got out because the Arab men slept with the servants there and even their own grandmothers. Whether this is true or heresay I dont know. We also have a big problem in England now that we have immigrants. Lots of girls are brought here on the pretext of jobs and land up as prostitutes. I dont know that we can blame Arabs alone shouldnt we blame MEN on the whole for this? Not the decent man but the man that uses these facilities? Yes its true about the girls who are raped being punished for it. They are told that they have enticed the men by what they wear and how they look and that is why their womenfolk wear burkhas. Unfortunately its still a man's world there and we women are the sufferers because men are stronger than women. They still kill girls for having affairs, brick them up and kill their own daughters.Read "Princess" written by a real Saudi Princess and you will know what really and truly goes on there. don;t you remember how that Saudi Princess was beheaded because she ad an affair. We are supposed to be living in the 20th century and this thing still persists. Saudi Arabia broke off (or almost broke off) relations with England on this subject.

This whole issue is SO HORRENDOUS and has been for centuries! As so many Answerer's say, women and children have no power what so ever! Women are considered ALWAYS responsible for rape and/or "affairs" are killed. Girls who have been raped by men in their family and discovered or who get pregnant were set on fire in the desert--and nowadays in large cities, fall mysteriously down elevator shafts to their deaths. It is all so incomprehensible to the Western mind!! The men in the girls/women's family are REQUIRED to maintain family honor by killing their own daughters and sisters. I don't know re Islam, but tribal tradition for thousands of years keep this practice well into place!!

Propagandist horsesh!t.

I don't doubt that this hideous and disgusting practice goes on, I don't doubt that at all, and I agree with you that it is utterly vile. However, the way you've told this story, the amount of detail, and the words you have chosen, all indicate that in this particular case, you have an agenda.

You also seem to forget about trafficking within the UK. We have the highest
Britain has the highest rate of burglary in the European Union and is also nearly top of the league for assaults and hate crime. London also emerges as the "crime capital of Europe" with the likelihood of becoming a victim - mostly of a range of petty crimes - said to be higher than all other EU capitals and even higher than cities such as Istanbul and New York.

Ugh, that is disturbing ... but this isn't limited to Arab countries, just yesterday the news broke that a paediophile ring based in Russia had been cracked, and the police found IP addresses of clients in many other European countries.

I can believe this.Women are not treated with any respect in Muslim countries, they have no rights and are often beaten tortured and raped, with the added bonus of being stoned to death for the privelidge of being raped.Children are also seen as fair game and young boys are used by these men to satisfy their evil lust.A few years ago,the arabs were often called"dirty arabs" very appropriate, even if not pc any more.

Yes..I know this to be true. Why do you think they feel there religion is better and want world domination. All people who try to conquer the world feel they, or there religion is the best and was made by God when really they are worse than what they are fighting against saying the other one is HORRIBLE.. That's why we need to stop them now. They hit there women... There women have no rights what so ever. There women are traded like cattle. If a woman is raped. she is killed for letting herself be raped. VERY bad... So your not crazy dude.
