How about organ donation - You can talk about various aspects of donation -

For example how only 1% of people die in such a way that they are candidates for donation (they must be on a ventilator and subsequently declared brain dead).

One person can donate up to 8 organs, and can improve the lives of up to 50 people through a tissue donation (corneas, skin, bones)...you could talk about all of the different uses of donated tissue- it's amazing what can be done.

You can talk about the need for donation - how there are over 95,000 people waiting for an organ, break it down by organs needed or by region.

You can talk about OPOs (organ procurement organizations), which are the organ recovery agencies in charge of facilitating organ donation and transplantation in each region.

Good luck!

Okay well here is what I would do Start by picking a topic, so lets say the Civil Rights Movement.
Now lets Break it down......
Introduction :
Introduce three topics Topic number one Rosa Parks and how she helped the movement ie: Bus Boycott
Topic Number two: Martin Luther King Jr and how he helped
Final Topic: How the movement still effects todays world

Now in each body paragraph brefiely explain each one of those topics and then conclude with a question encouraging them to get involved!

Good Luck! With those ideas just google information and throw something together. Even if you have too just add some of your own words during the speech to give it some flavor!

Write an informative speech about the proper technique of writing a speech:

"Construction of an informative speech, as most students know, involves an oftentimes lengthy process that normally proceeds in the following series of five steps:"
1. Developing an idea
2. Constructing an outline with main points and subpoints
3. Writing notecards to help your memory
4. Rehearsing the speech
5. Delivery of the speech

(List the steps and spend 15-30 seconds BSing about each)

"The speech I am currently delivering to you is a prime example of how this sequence of steps culminates in the fruition of an eloquently delivered infomative speech."

"While preparing for the delivery of this speech, I followed these steps in this order (reiterate the steps). And in conclusion, you too can construct a high quality speech if you follow these stages."
