We as individuals tend to just consider the Marginal PRIVATE cost and benefits of our actions. Our complaining is our own recognition of the marginal SOCIAL costs. Our own personal acting upon the social costs does not guarantee that others will act in kind so though we suffer extra costs, we will not reap those social benefits, so we act on our private costs and benefits.

Because it is not profitable for the American government to stop buying goods from the Chinese market. Just think about it, in America labour is very expensive so why pay $25/hr for a single person if you can get the same product made only paying $1/day. The money you get will a) make a decent saving towards your profit and investment; b) the product itself will be sold 100x more than what the cost of making it was. Of course people complain about outsourcing and such... but it's not profitable for the government to do so plus they never care about morals it's about financial situation that they are concerned about. Another reason is efficiency, stereotypically and perhaps that's a fair statement that Chinese are considered to be efficient in their production, so by investing in Chinese market we not only get cheap goods, we get them FAST and with the MOST outcome! But at what costs... Our labour force takes a blow and is forced to find alternative ways of employment. However, government also figured that if people would go jobless than there would be no demand for those products therefore they have to create an equallibrium between the two and both provide the jobs for domestic labour and make sure people will be able to buy the products made in China. Simply ingenius...

Inflation will hit the roof, and also you isn't able to purchase the great things anymore (like an outstanding piece of German engineering, Italian marbles .... I drink weight-help plan coke(affordable stuff) to shop on energy so as that i visit devour a %. of sweet (the best/tasty element) There are different severe implications as well. in case you do not purchase chinese made stuff, then China received't make as a lot funds. If China won't be able to make as a lot funds, the US authorities will fall down, the effective US defense force will be a paper tiger because it really is China who's lending the US funds for the authorities to run. trust IT ! If not, then flow and ask any economics professor in any Univeristy.

What is NOT made in China now ? China owns 60% of all the "T-Bills" in the U.S., and that meat head Clinton put ALL CHINESE in charge of high security issues like at "J.P.L.", so they stole or were given many secrets of the high technology the U.S. had, another "BONE HEAD" move by "BUBBA" but, he gives great speech's, and the economy was good right ? Wouldn't have been because he rode the shirt tails of "Reaganomics" would it ? and what happened with the Lay offs of the 90's, nobody talks about that, now "Hillary" will fix all of that, right ?

Because it is much cheaper for American companies to buy from China than to buy American products. Labor is cheaper out there and American companies turn a much larger profit from buying from China.

It all about who can supply a business with their good for the cheapest. If they can buy more stuff from people in China, the business will do it because even if they don't, competitors will and they will end up having to charge more and inevitably go out of business.

China sends us actual goods made out of real materials, and we send them small pieces of green paper with dead presidents printed on them. So who is getting the better deal?
