You are born, got to school, go to college, get a job, get merried, raise kids, retire, die. Whats the point?!

This cycle is repeated over and over again. What do we have to show for it? Can't the world see that this way of life isn't working. The world is in termoil and chaos. You can't repeat the same step over and over and expect new results, something has to change. There is more than one way to live your life. We shoulden't be limited by tradition and popular belief.

This life, (here on Earth), is nothing more than a simple test. What you, (as an individual), do here, determines your reward in the afterlife; and I must say... alot of people are blowing it! You only get one chance... and this is it, like it or not! You can even choose not to believe it, but that doesn't change anything... facts are facts!

My Friend, when one dies---they have left in the minds of the family-MEMORIES, faith, encouragement to them and all who came in contact to do better, if not do the best you can. Photos, videos, holidays, all bring back the deceased as though their spirit , even should the body be elsewhere their still there
with you as the decoratons are put up, a favorite dish for the meal is prepared.
Whatever, can't explain to you the motions of memories to the living. There's love- not chaos, there's joyful laughter and serious talk-not turmoil.

What you say is true but that is like saying there are white caps on waves at the beach.....and nothing about the depth of the ocean or the width or the amount of water that covers the earth. It is true but is only infinitesimally true.

You are born and bring joy to your father and mother.

You go to school and your teacher feels fulfilled as he or she sees you grow into a person with unique characteristics which he or she has helped to nurture..

You go to college and you hopefully find the path to sucess in medicine and maybe a cure for cancer or the common cold or you form a business and make life possible for your employees

Or you get a job and become a productive person of things that are necessary for the need or comfort or joy of other persons in the world.

Then you get married and you are able to bring into the world a being or a full set of beings that love you and your spouse and try to live their lifes to reflect glory on you. You raise your kids to be honorable and clean living persons who you hope will be able to do even more for the world than you were able to do.

Hopefully you are able to retire and spend even more time in the service of those in the world less fortunate than you.

Yes, you will die.. but after a life in which your body grew and slowly wore out but during that time you had enjoyed much, received much from others and given much to others. Hopefully, you are ready for that last moment.

Yes, what is the point? If you have not lived your life somewhat like above and have not interacted with others for good and happy reasons while making other people happy that you lived, than maybe there is no real point to your existance, but I think every person who trys to live the Golden Rule knows at that last breath there was a point, albeit small, for their time on earth.

The experiences you mentioned are what life is all about.

A tree springs to life from seed. It grows. It reproduces. And eventually it dies. It cannot love, travel, fellowship with others, gain knowledge, express ideas, invent things, etc.

That is what separates human life from other life. We CAN do those things.

We are born. We become educated to the best of our abilities. We work, because necessity of life dictates that we do. We have the capacity to love, get married to those we want to share our lives with, raise families, and hopefully retire, so we can partake of our whole life of labor. And finally, we die. And as a Christian, I believe that life does not end there, it goes on.

We're not "limited". We're experiencing life as it is meant to be for human beings. Traditions are not a bad thing. It's what differentiates cultures. Our beliefs make us whole beings.

You're only "limited" if you choose to be. You get out of life what you put into it. If you deem life as being pointless, then perhaps you're not as involved in life as you need to be. Think it over.

The only one's who say you have to "do" anything are socialist regimes. Since human beings have "free will," we can do what we want in our lives, but are held accountable to how we live them. So if you don't want kids, then don't have them, but do not expect others to think that is better. And to live nowadays, you must get a job or work, to sustain the basic needs. And of course, who can live without love? Society wouldn't exist as we know it if people didn't work or marry to raise a family. But I won't lose any sleep if you can't live your own life that way.....

So we have covered the basics. Birth and death are inevitable. But it is how much effort you put in school, college, work, marriage, children and retirement that matters. Life takes work and people don't like that, so they seek ways to supplement the emptiness that lies within. Obviously our species has survived many, many, many years on earth.
