Oh boy, this is only the beginning of feeling helpless. My boys are pre-teens and I feel so helpless when they get bullied, or make a bad grade, or have any kind of problem. You just want everything to be perfect for them, and it never is, and it's the hardest thing. You love them so much. It just hurts so much to see them go through illnesses or difficult times. I wish you the best. It's a very heart-breaking, but amazing road you're embarking on.

Yes i felt that way when my son was a baby and i still do when he gets sick. He is 5 years old and just got over pneumonia. Even though he was in the hospital getting the medications he needed i still felt helpless and wanted his sickness put upon me. I cannot stand to see my son sick or in pain.

It is hard not to feel helpless. We assume we know what is wrong with them and how they feel but until they can tell us we just have to comfort them as best as we can. It is hard too when they have a cold and you can see they are miserable but you can't do anything about it since there aren't any safe cold remedies for them over the counter and most doctors won't perscribe medicine for a cold. My little girl had like a head cold for the first several weeks of her life and all I could do was keep her somewhat elevated. She slept in a swing or her car seat for like a month so she could breath easy. It was horrible.

Yes, I always felt helpless when my baby boys were sick. (they are grown now) Only thing you can do is what the doc says and wait for it to pass. It is all a part of them growing up. It is so amazing watching them grow up, and then one day you will be asleep on the bed and this deep voice will ask you for the keys, and in your half sleep state you may panic, thinking an intruder is in your bedroom and then you will suddenly realize that it is your baby and he is now a teenager!

I don't have a baby, but my kitty just got spayed and I feel pretty helpless because she is in pain and she looks like she is crying :( I cried when I dropped her off at the clinic because I could hear her meowing in the back room :( It was sad. Hope your baby is feeling better very soon! :)

As screwed up as our justice gadget is almost about divorce, he's ideal to be tense and careful and also you have not any acceptable to push him into something he would not sense comfortable doing. i comprehend this isn't what you want to take heed to. it really is something human beings not often listen anymore; the actuality! both stick with the way issues are or go away him and discover someone who will marry. possibly in case you provide to signal a prenup yet i do not comprehend. Sounds to me like his topics may flow deeper than in basic terms funds/belongings.

Ugh! I hate it!!! I would rather be sick everyday then have my baby be sick! My heart goes out to you. Keep up with the medicine, love, kisses and cuddles and he will be better in no time! Also, to all you mommies and daddies out there, remember motrin/tylenol are pain relievers as well as fever reducers and you can give them (in the proper doses) when baby is fussy/uncomfortable even if they don't have a fever.
