Question

I have a pretty good memory and I remember EVERYTHING that my gf tells me even minute details about her friends and their lives I remember stuff that she doesnt remember telling me or stuff from her life that she already forgot... she recently commented about my memory and it seemed like she thought it was weird that I remembered certain stuff so my question is when she talks about stuff that she doesnt think I remember do I tell her she told me or do I play it that I dont remember? I dont want her thinking Im a freak.

maybe shes was surprised that you remember cuz most guys act like they pay attention to what you say but they really arent listening... she wont think your a freak she will just know that you actually listen to her

Its not weird at all its natural, women use 3 parts of their brain when talking which is why they show a more complex and sometimes maddening verbal technique.
Men however use three parts fo their brain for memory, in the past this would have helped you remember a viable hunting area or how to get home from a long hunt or fishing trip. Your brain uses its special long term memory with your GFs life as well to your brain what she says could be important landmarks. To all you women reading this asking why your husband says he doesn't remember its because you hen peck us to death and we make ourselves forget or we would go insane.
Most men have very memories and a very interesting ability to recall even small details of times long past.

LOL... gues that makes two us hey.. now with me its the other way round - i remember stuff boiffy tells me... all the same jokes, his favourite memories, stuff his daughter has done or said, how he got his sexy scar on the face - etc etc..

Look - what i've learnt to do is jus act shocked or laugh again at the same joke i;ve heard 100 times, or sympathise with him etc etc etc... these are obviously things that mean a lot to him or in your case to her - seeing as they keep coming up, so just play along and go with the mood, although its the 16th time u've heard about how her best friend passed out at the summer dance and they had to drag her to the car bla bla bla..

No. If anything she should be happy you care enough to pay attention. My bf is the same way...he remembers things about me that i cant remember telling him, it doesnt bother me at all It makes me feel specail. If your gf thinks your a freak because you listen to her when she talks than maybe you two should talk about this together.

You can tell her that you know about what she is going to say and make a nice comment about the story to show her that you really do remember her telling you.

Don't tell her that you remember, but not because she will think you are a freak, but because it is no "skin off your nose" to listen to it again, and because she obviously feels like telling someone. Let her tell you her stories time and time again. It is good practice for some day when you are married (to her or someone else.)

You are not a freak. You are blessed with such good memory, she should learn to appreciate it. Only don't overwhelm her only with all the details you learnt from her. Show her your phenomenal memory extends to other areas too and talk of such things as well.

you are being too self-conscious....it is unusual to have that good of a memory, but not freakish. If she breaks up with you over that, she wasn't right, or there is something bigger. Be yourself and be honest!
