Why? I imagine the reason why anyone's bisexual or bi-curious is simply because they are, just like heterosexuals or homosexuals- it's how we feel.
I'm bisexual and more attracted to men than women. So I supposed I'd rather have a relationship with a man. But to be quite honest, as long as it's someone who fits all my desired criteria (intelligent, funny, quirky, open-minded, ambitious, witty, positive, sarcastic, politically aware, loves to talk, debate, and read voraciously), then I could care less whether it was a man or a woman.
I tend to like the 'queerness' of the women I'm attracted to, the kind of thing not found in the average man off the street, but there's something about men that knocks my socks off anyhow.

I am Bi precisely because I don't make a distinction between men and women when it comes to having relationships. Some do have a leaning.
Bi-Curious folk will probably prefer the relationship with the gender they are normally be attracted to and be intrigued (hence the curious) to try it with the other gender.
