would react better and resolve some of our issues? Will we be able to trust these leaders ever again after all the corruption and cover ups from this present administration? If we have a person or persons we believe in we would join forces for the common good of all our American People? Happiness, laughter and a ease of the stress with all the fear tactics, would that not cure our negativity?
We need a team in government and will we ever see that with happiness again?

It's a good question, and I don't have an optimistic answer. Part of that is because I, and a lot of Americans, grew up with the Watergate hearings on the TV set (especially before we had cable, when we were stuck with three channels only--yep, I'm old). And since Nixon, we've seen few politicians who were both good leaders *and* without flaw. Even Reagan, and it was pretty easy to like Reagan, had the Iran-Contra thing shadowing his presidency.

I fear that even if we got Jesus in office, whatever party had voted against him would dig up or create some kind of dirt and call an independent counsel to investigate him.

The Bush administration has done a particularly bad job of explaining itself to the public. Too much salesmanship and too little info, IMHO. But I can see that international relations are sometimes delicate and it's not always possible to know what or how much to say at home without hurting our position overseas. Mr. Bush's approval ratings suggest he's played things a bit too close to the vest.

Please show me a leader who exudes integrity & we can begin to answer this question. Our leaders are overwhelmingly self-serving and or serve at the behest of the corporations who bankrolled their candidicies.

There are millions of Americans who would "join forces for the common good" if we could tear ourselves away from the distractions which have become the centers of our lives: shopping, entertainment and its cultural conduit, TV.

When our leaders start showing they take their oath to uphold the Constitution...then maybe they will prove to the American public that they indeed have integrity. Like Ron Paul.
No, we will never see true happiness again.
