Hi

There could be lot of reasons for the same, there are lots of websites specific to browsers, try changing the browser.

Make sure you security and Active X controls are set properly, some sites might require Active X and they might download when you click on the link..

1.First of all check for viruses, trojans, do this:

download free version of avg,(the best one, you should have it anyway, i have been in this business for years, they do updates for free on the free version regurlarly)
http://www.canadiancontent.net/tech/download/Anti-Trojan.html

Prior to this close down all services that are not microsoft in :

start > run> msconfig (press enter)

go to: services, check the hide all microsoft services, then
the services left: uncheck most all of them

next go to starup tab and uncheck most of them, this will also speed up start.

2.Clear all your temporary internet files:

Tools > internet options > general (tab)

delete cookies

delete files ( check : delete all offline content)

also: clear history

Now you should notice a difference,

I recommended the anti psyware and trojan ware sofware: avg at the begining as you should have that anyway, dont use nortons, its not very good whatever version.

I am a programmar i know,

After all this if it still doesnt make a difference then mail me ok, i will help you, no worries,

regards

happy computing
