Absolutely without question yes I would give up my own life to save the life of my child, husband or anyone in my immediate family (brother, sister, niece, newphew, ect.). This is because most of my family is the world to me.

Yes, of course I would give up my life.
BBplayer, other than your illustration most likely being a myth I would like to point out that Akbar and Birbal used monkey's.
Now that does not preclude that there are parents who exist who would throw their own child under the train but I believe the illustration is a misdirection.

i did not watch the video.. yet iI have heard a narrative like this. the guy takes son with him to "artwork" on the administration tower for the bridge. They get distracted even as eating lunch collectively, the guy realising he ought to race back to the tower to throw the lever. As they run back the boy falls and receives stuck interior the mechanism, whith 2 trains bearing down upon the bridge. the guy ought to come to a call between saving his boy, or allowing the trains to collide, and posibly killing many 100s of persons. He pulls the lever, subsequently killing his son, and then stands and watches as both trains dissapear over the horizon - the persons on board not understanding what he has sacrificed to shop thier very lives. the tale does have storng Christian overtones. That God despatched Jesus into to international as a sacrifice for our sins, and we, like the persons on the practice, proceed on with our personal lives, not understanding or being concerned of Jesus sacrifice for us. John 3 :16 As a Father, my son Joseph potential absolutely the international to me. he's my reason behind doing what i must do. i'd flow mountains to guard and cover him. there is not any way i ought to stay with myself if i became the reason behind something happening to him. yet inspite of this, if placed interior the area like this guy became, ought to you also stay with your self in case you knew you've been responsible for the shortcoming of existence of probably 100s of persons?? I pray that i actually and quite everyone else are not in any respect EVER in a situation to be forced to make a call something like this. i comprehend i could not

That is the magical thing about being a parent....the love is UNCONDITIONAL. A parent would always sacrifice their life for their child...any time.

I don't have kids of my own, but if how I feel about my nephews is any indication, I don't doubt for a second that I would.

I heard this story when I was kid!
When asked by Akbar (A moghul emperor who ruled Delhi), Birbal (his wise minister)told that one loves his life more than the life of his child. He brought a monkey and its kid and put them in an enclosure and began filling it with water. Monkey tried to save the kid initially, but, when, it came to drowing level, it put the monkey down, stood up on it, to save itself and proved Birbal's view point.

Now, you can come to your own conclusion!
