I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive verizon wireless phone that can store and edit a moderate number (50 or so) of short notes or word documents (about 100 words max). any suggestions?

Yeah a PDA is what you will probably need, Verizon PDA's as well as most other companies PDA's come with Windows Mobile which is a very nice feature because you can not only edit but also create word documents. The problem is that the widows mobile is an extra monthly charge, but its only about $5 a month. The cheapest Pda they have would probably be the Motorola Q which would only be about $99 if you started a new 2 year contract.

I think the only kind of phone that would do this is the kind that is sort of a fusion of a phone and a PDA. I suspect that a number of Treo models would do this.
