I mean is it good to wear casual dress in a casual day of a week in the office or for maximum professionalism one should only wear formal dress on the casual day also? What the bosses really think about it?

I like to see my people in proper "business casual" attire.

Most bosses see casual day as a chance to let the workers relax, and be at ease in the work place. Casual dress means different things in different jobs. For some it means jeans and a nice sweater. Others it means sweats and a tee shirt. ask around, and dont be afraid to 'dress casual'. It is a change to be less informal!

It doesn't matter to me, I always dressed in business clothes wore suits, white shirts, a tie, dress shoes---was treated as ***** and laughed at, in fact even questioned, "Was I on the payroll of crooks so they would be left alone must add It was the 1980's not 1930's. Here is an account of what the boss "pulled" where I was employed, during a lunch order----Waitress asks Boss for drink order before meal, " Double whiskey, no ice or water----others ordered similar alcoholic drinks, I said--lemon-Ade.----all orders taken, waitress leaving table----Boss yells, "Change mine to just coffee". Every wanted to see SHOCK, shaking mature men and women into " What do I do now" Well, that was the movement.
Casual dress is okay, when Bosses ask you out to join them for lunch----order coffee, tea or not anything stronger than water, even if the Boss orders first a triple whiskey with an ale chaser.
