I am very thin i only weigh about 103-105...could this be a possible reasons as to why pregnancy symptoms may not be as prominent or as drastic as other women who weigh more? Could this be a reason why the pregnancy test dont pick up my hormones? or is it the same for all women regardless or weight?

i think its the same no matter what the weight i had a really rough pregnancy to start off with, i was really sick with severe morning sickness and my cousin who was also the same far along in her pregnancy as me who weighs a tiny 52 kgs(a good 30 kgs less then me) had the exact same severe symptoms, we felt the babies move around the same time and we both had equally as stong cravings, heartburn, backaches, sore ribs etc so maybe it just depends on the person? also my cousins first home pregnancy test couldnt be mistaken where as mine.....oh no dont worry actually i just remembered my first preg test had very dark lines aswell!! also i look pregnant from three months but nobody even knew my cous was pregnant until 2 weeks before she was due!! my baby weighed 8lb 4oz and her baby weighed 8lb 9oz!

Morning sickness is caused by the pregnancy hormone. All women are different. The higher the level of the hormone the more sickness. Most of my life I have weighed under 100 lbs. I love to eat, just don't gain. I have been pregnant four times and been extremely sick each time. The doctor told me my hormones levels were very high. Also each pregnancy may differ. The next time you may have a higher level of hormones.

your weight has nothing to do with pregnancy hormones. one wouldnt interfere with the other.

the reasons why a HPT wouldnt detect pregnancy is you could be testing too soon, your levels might not be high, or faulty tests. In some cases HPTs just wont work for people, My friend was telling me about her bestfriend who tested when she missed her period, it was neg. she then tested again around 5 months along just to see what it would say and that was neg. then about a week befor her due date she wanted to see if there were something wrong with the two tests she took befor so she went and got another test and it was neg...and she only had a week left befor her due date so there are people that for a certain medical reason HPT's cant pick up their hormones.

honestly thin women will show more physical pregnancy signs faster than larger women. as for the hormone levels it is the same, if you have a high enough amount of the hcg hormone in your system to be detected in your urine an home test will pick this up. your kidneys and bladder have nothing to do with weight. thinner women tend to show earlier and have the enlarged breasts and show weight gain much earlier than a bigger woman.

I weigh 180 lbs, and found that the severity of symptoms has more to do with the horomone level in a person that thier weight. I never got sick once in my pregnancy, and could touch my toes till the very end. also had no water weight. Count yourself lucky, and live life!

Yes, it could be - you could be nutritionally deficient, etc. Check with a good doctor, who can help you and refer you to a nutritionist.
